As our mission statement says, INSIGHTS Intervention provides evidence-based services. What does that mean? The effectiveness of the temperament-based strategies taught in INSIGHTS Intervention was tested in two randomized clinical trials that were funded by the National Institutes of Health. A third clinical trial is underway with funding from the Institute of Education.

To test the effectiveness of INSIGHTS, schools were randomly assigned to the INSIGHTS program or to a placebo control group which received a Read Aloud Program. See the outcomes that occurred at home and those that occurred at school. More details about our findings are available in publications.
