INSIGHTS Program Developer

Sandee Graham McClowry, PhD, RN, FAAN is a professor in the Applied Psychology and Teaching & Learning Departments at New York University. Dr. McClowry received her doctorate in family nursing theory from the University of California, San Francisco. She has conducted multiple school-based research studies on children's temperament, family interactions, and classroom management. Currently, she is currently the principal investigator of a clinical trial, funded by the Institute of Education Sciences, that is testing the efficacy of INSIGHTS into Children's Temperament  in enhancing the academic learning context. She was also the principal investigator of the two previous clinical trials on INSIGHTS that were funded by the National Institutes of Health. Dr. McClowry has published extensively on her research in a variety of multidisciplinary journals, is the author of Your Child’s Unique Temperament, and is finishing a textbook on evidence-based classroom management.
